Back from Ubin.

16th December 2006
Hello everyone, I'm back from a one day one night trip to Pulau Ubin. I went there with my church youth group and some of the young adult group friends. W ehad loads of fun staying there for one night.

By the way it is 10:28pm now. I'm having church tomorrow so I'll be ending this article soon. Later I'll show you some pics I took during the 2nd day of our camping. Yesterday, friday, I was having my attachment in the morning so I did not follow them in the early afternoon. I went home for dinner and took SBS2 all the way to Changi Terminal. I didn't know that I was on the same bus as Cullen. I was on a double decker bus. He was sitting upstairs. I was sitting downstairs.

We went to the Changi hawker centre for dinner. I did not buy anything because I already had my dinner at my home sweet home. I met up with Terence, Cullen and Henry. We were the last 4people crossing over to Pulau Ubin. The usual price per person is $2 but we were charged $3 due to lack of passengers aboard.

We reached Pulau Ubin in around 10mins time and we made our way to the nformation house. We were thinking of hiring a van to droive us to the camp site. In the end, we trek all the way to our camp site. It was a wonderful and cooling walk but I still sweat like no one's business. We chat along the way and find our way in with a map of the island.

When we reached, the youth group were treking in the muddy treks somewhere near the swamps cum quarry ponds/lakes. Their shoes and sanders were caked in mud. Luckily, no one complained much about the treking.

We build a small fire and cooked some maggi mee and can sausages for supper. Everyone were hungry. We had loads of fun the whole night through. After the supper cum dinner for some, we washed up and went to sleep in tents. That's our 1st day.

Here are the pics I took today which is our 2nd day. Enjoy:

The tents at the shelter, we are waiting for our breakfast...

The tents we slept in last night...

The bight sun shining down on us while we having a morning prayer meeting...

The boiling water for drinks and instant noodles/cup noodles...

My white coffee for the morning. I ate tibits before drinking this coffee...

The beach at our camp site...

The abandon logs is the place we collect twigs and branches for the fire last night...

We had our games with Cullen. The 1st game was to stand on the log near the water and switch places with each end. My elder sis and I was the last two person to switch places and we have a long way to each end of the log. Luckily no one forfeited. The next game was to form shape a hour-glass using a rope and our feets.

The 2nd last game was to cross a radioactive river using anti-radioactive leaves. The challenge got difficult when Leon's leg was bitten off by radioactive fish, Vincent hands were also bitten off. Jason carried Leon over his shoulders. Romei was the one who will pass the leaves in front to cross the river.

The last game was the trusting game. A person will say Trusting, then we will say Trust Us, then the same person will say Falling, and we will say Fall On. We need to catch hold of the person falling. We played the games a few times. We relly had fun playing the games. We had learn about trust and teamwork. No one can be alone. Unity is important. Our pastor Roland Ho came to preached on Unity in Christ too.

The message he brought was like God talking directly to me. I really felt so wrong and upset about myself being self-pity. After the whole prayer session, I asked for forgiveness and seek for his words. Lord Jesus, thank you for a wonderful day today. I was of you that you forgive me in anything I did wrong. Lord I pray that I will speak out more and not be self-pity anymore. In my most precious Jesus name I pray, amen.

Now the time is 11:16pm. Im sleeping now. Thank you for visiting my blog again. God bless and goodnight. Cya. . .
